Choose blush according to face shape
The following is a guide to blush for different face shapes, combined with the latest and authoritative makeup techniques:
1. Round face: vertical contraction method
Goal: Lengthen the face and increase the three-dimensional effect.
How to apply: Choose a contraction color blush (such as bean paste color, earthy orange color), and gently sweep from the apple of the cheek to the temple to form a vertical line, avoiding horizontal circles.
Advanced technique: You can use the "poached egg blush" method to draw a semicircle above the cheekbone to enhance the contour.
2. Long face: horizontal truncation method
Goal: Shorten the atrium and balance the proportions.
How to apply: Sweep the blush (such as plum color, nude color) horizontally in the center of the cheek, connecting the bridge of the nose, creating a "sunburned blush" effect, visually truncating the length of the face.
Note: Avoid oblique or high-position blush, otherwise it will further lengthen the face.
3. Square/diamond-shaped face: oblique contouring method
Goal: Soften the edges and corners and add a soft feeling.
How to apply: Sweep obliquely from the highest point of the cheekbone to the temples, blend with the contouring, and choose milk tea color or dry rose blush to weaken the jawline.
Diamond-shaped face: You can circle under the cheekbones to fill the depressions.
4. Heart-shaped face/oval face: Apple muscle focus method
Goal: Highlight the natural fullness.
How to apply: Smile to find the apple muscles, and use pink or coral blush to circle and blend, and the range does not exceed the horizontal line of the nose.
Oval face: You can try polarized blush to brighten the cheekbones and enhance the luster.
5. General tips and precautions
Color selection:
Yellow skin is suitable for pink orange and apricot; white skin can choose arbitrarily; black skin avoids fluorescent powder and chooses earthy orange.
Blush and lipstick of the same color are more coordinated.
Texture matching:
Use powder blush for oily skin and cream/liquid blush for dry skin.
Tools and range:
The brush should not be too large, and the lowest position should not exceed the nose wing to avoid making the face look sagging.
